Cheer Director, Varsity Football & Varsity Competition Coach – Katie Birkhead:

Hi everyone! My name is Katie Birkhead and I am the Cheer Director, Head Varsity Football and Competition Cheerleading Coach at Collins Hill. This will be my 6th year coaching here at The Hill and I will also be teaching 9th grade Biology this year! I have a long 14 year history in cheerleading in all-stars, high-school, and as a collegiate cheerleader including a member of the 2014 UCA National Champion Small Coed team at Columbus State University! Ahh Cougs!! 🙂 I am originally from Lawrenceville myself and have loved being able to come back and teach in the schools I grew up in.

Varsity Basketball Cheer Coach – Jada Bell

Coach Bell is currently in her second year as the Varsity Basketball Cheer Coach. She graduated from The University of Georgia in 2019 where she majored in Early Childhood Education.

She attended Collins Hill High School where she cheered all four years. While at Collins Hill, she was on Varsity Basketball and Varsity Football Spirit Squads. She was captain her senior year and the recipient of several accolades such as: The Eagle Award, The Coach’s Award, and The Spirit Award. 

When not at practice or games, you can find Coach Bell with her husband, Derek and their dog, Charlie. Family time is her favorite time, and she encourages the girls to value their families and friends.

JV Football & Basketball Cheer Coach – Dasia Curry

Dasia is a Collins Hill Eagle Alumni cheerleader with 11 years of cheer experience and is returning for her 3rd season of coaching, this year with our JV football and basketball squads. She began her journey in cheer through youth sports and continued through high school. She attended Georgia State University where she studied Psychology. She enjoys coaching and providing mentorship to other emerging leaders and future awesome alumni of the “The Hill”.

9th Grade Football & Basketball Cheer Coach – Keeley Linnell

My name is Keeley Linnell and I am the 9th grade football and basketball cheerleading coach for the 2022-2023 season! This is my 2nd year teaching and coaching at Collins Hill High School. Starting at 8 years old I competed for Premier Athletics Allstars and Ace Allstars competing in the NCA Championships in Dallas, TX. My school squad cheerleading started in 7th grade and my high school team was state runner up twice and received bids to the UCA Nationals in Disney World. I am excited to continue my cheerleading career as an Eagle at Collins Hill!
