TEAM PARENTS NEEDED FOR BASKETBALL AND COMPETITION TEAMS

Our basketball and competition teams are looking for a team parent (or co-team parents).

If  you are interested please reach out to the team coach.

If you are asking what a team parent does: *reaches out to the team for volunteers to provide snacks/drinks for games and competition *assists the coach as they need *in prior years – locker decorations – due to covid this is out this year (could do a decoration for cheerleaders to take home) *goodie bags

The biggest help to the coaches is to have someone organize volunteers for snacks/drinks.

If you are interested, reach out to the coaches.

If you have any questions please email team coach or the board (cheerleaderchhs@gmail.com).

LET’S GO EAGLES!

Basketball Updates

Just a forewarning: basketball WILL look different this year. We are experiencing more change with basketball because it is an indoor activity. The safety regulations are different. Please know that we are following local and state guidelines and requirements, and we ask that you are patient with us through these changes.

Here is some of the most up to date county and GHSA dictated information we have available:  1. NO cheerleaders at any level will be traveling to away games. Cheerleaders will only be present at home games. This is a county dictated rule.  2. Cheerleaders will be required to sit in the stands for games and cheer from their seats. Our coaches are working on a game plan for how this will look.  3. Our 9th-grade team does not have a schedule yet. We have heard that games will take place on Monday and Thursday. We will add the schedule as soon as we have it.

Here is some of the most up to date program-specific information I have available
1. We are so thrilled to welcome Rachel Thompson, our clinic nurse, as our Varsity Basketball Coach. She has been coaching volleyball for years and is excited to join our cheerleading coaching staff!  2. We will officially be announcing our 9th-grade coach for basketball once her paperwork has officially gone through.  3. Varsity Practices/Games: Varsity will practice Monday and Wednesdays from 3:00 – 4:15. 4. JV Practices/Games: JV will practice Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 – 4:15.  5. 9th Grade Practices: 9th-grade practice will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00 – 4:15.  6. Practices for ALL teams will begin the week of November 9th, next week.
